New Real Estate Developments
Below is a list of new developments in the Steamboat market. Many of these are high-end projects that started during the extreme growth period we saw in 2006-2007. Today, many of these projects continue to have unsold inventory, and as such, have offered buyers significant discounts.
On The Mountain
One Steamboat Place
Located in Gondola Square, the luxury residences of One Steamboat Place are generating lots of excitement among buyers who want to walk out the door and be in the thick of activity at the base of the ski mountain. The 80 condominiums are finely appointed in mountain-contemporary style and offer the conveniences of all-inclusive resort living. Amenities include a full-service spa, a wine cellar, and a fine dining restaurant with catering. Ski valets manage your equipment and offer tuning, storage, and demo needs. For off-mountain activity you will have a fitness center, a motion studio, outdoor pool and hot tubs. There are also spaces to gather for conversation and play. Ideal for adult gatherings is a private lounge available for owners and guests. For family entertainment, there is a family game room and a playroom for small children. Concierge service is in place to assist with the details of home-away-from-home.
Looking for all out lifestyle change? Not many people have the gondola of a world class ski mountain running through their front yard. Edgemont is the newest development on the ski mountain to offer direct access on and off the ski slopes. Edgemont condominiums have views of the ski mountain, Yampa Valley, the Sleeping Giant, and the Flat Tops. Edgemont has homey appeal with services that inspire community. There is a community mudroom with a ski storage center and access to and from the slopes; an owner’s lounge with Men’s and Women’s changing rooms, showers, and lockers; and a community fire pit, outdoor pool, and hot tub. The 1-5 bedroom interiors are appointed stylishly with hardwood flooring, slab granite, tumbled marble, limestone, and espresso-finished cabinets. Such distinctive living on the slopes is a big lifestyle plus.
Trailhead Lodge at Wildhorse Meadows
Wildhorse Meadows is a mixed housing community of single-family homesites, townhomes, and condominiums. This development is located halfway between highway 40 and the ski mountain, boasting views of the mountain, the South Valley, and Dakota Ridge. Trailhead Lodge--a luxury condominium structure of fully furnished residential suites--is located in the center of Wildhorse Meadows, next to a community gondola that drops you at the fire pit in Ski Time Square. These suites offer open floor plans that consider your entertaining needs and are appointed with stylish features, including granite, slate, travertine, and iron. Wide plank hardwood floors, floor to ceiling stone fireplaces, and knotty alder cabinets are more fine features of these units. Oversized windows and comfortable balconies are the final touch toward fine indoor/outdoor living. Amenities include concierge reception, a lobby lounge, game room, and athletic club. The exterior grounds offer a grotto spa, a lap pool, and a Barbecue patio, with more features forthcoming.
There are 83 residences at The Porches, a neighborhood built to the specifications of luxury Old West style. The vision of the porches is to provide spacious, well-designed homes with quality construction and craftsmanship. These homes feature 2-car garages, professional kitchens, air cleaning and humidifying systems, and Pell professional grade windows. Interiors have hand-scraped beams, hand-distressed floors, fine cabinetry, and granite countertops. There are stone fireplaces in the living rooms and the master bedrooms. Location is essential to The Porches concept. This neighborhood is situated below the ski mountain where views are captured of the mountain and the South Valley. Each duplex property is located on the periphery of The Barn, a 6000 square foot commons area. The Barn has a lounge with fireplace, game tables, televisions, a business center with shipping service, and a kids’ game room. There is a barbecue deck and fire pit, a heated pool, and a jetted spa. The renowned Steamboat Barn and its surrounding meadow--the image you love in the classic advertisements of Steamboat Springs--is the site of Barn Village, now under construction. Barn Village is located on 40 acres and slated for 62 homesites, a 4.3-acre public park (surrounding the Steamboat Barn), and a 26% remaining open space. In addition to the park, the Barn Village infrastructure includes a walking/biking trail and a neighborhood amenity building (The Mountain House). The plans for The Mountain House include a welcome lounge with a large rock fireplace, a wet bar, a flat screen television, and a business center. There will be a fitness center and cardio room, an outdoor patio, a heated swimming pool, hot tub, and gas grill. The 62 homesites are comprised of 12, riverfront duplexes (zoned for up to 5,000 square feet) and 50, single-family homes (zoned with care-taker quarters). With access from Pine Grove Road and Central Park Drive, Barn Village is in the near vicinity of the ski mountain (great views, in fact), Fish Creek, convenience shopping, and the Yampa Valley Medical Center.
Rocky Peak Village
Green Built (meeting International Star criteria), in the fashion of Mountain Craftsman design, including post and beam timbers, stone, and cedar elements, Rocky Peak Village is reinventing the old fashioned neighborhood with 34 townhomes planned to make life easier. The duplex and triplex units offer 1900-2300 finished, livable square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 baths. Floor plans include mudrooms, pantries, full-scale laundry rooms, and oversized, 2-car garages. Owners select interior finishes from an array of superior options, traditional or contemporary, including materials like granite, stone, glass, alder, and stainless steel. The site plan includes a community park, a playground, and a soft surface recreational trail. Located between the mountain and Old Town Steamboat, skiing, trailheads, schools, shopping, and public facilities are all less than four minutes away.
Downtown Steamboat Springs
The Olympian is all about the roots of Ski Town USA and complete emersion in the charm of downtown living. One block behind Lincoln Ave, at Fifth and Yampa, Olympian units overlook the Yampa River, and the core trail--which are easily accessed from street level. Here, owners are able to enjoy the premier views quintessential to Steamboat, including Howelson Hill, Mount Werner Ski Area, Buffalo Pass, and Sleeping Giant. With an eye on the Old West, the Victoria architecture blends Steamboat’s historical past with our contemporary present and adds a sophisticated aesthetic to our downtown. There are also private ski lockers and ski storage on the mountain, at Gondola Ski Club.

Catamount features 70-acre homesteads, 22 cabins, and 25, 6 to 8-acre homesites.
